According to a report from Games Radar, everyone’s favorite pasty-faced sociopath may be back on the PS3 as soon as next September. A retailer in New Zealand (a country that shares the same release dates on most games as North America) may have let the date accidentally slip when it listed God of War IV as available for pre-order with an estimated release date of September 2012.

Computer giant Microsoft’s official YouTube channel appears to have been hacked Sunday morning. All of the official videos, including recent ad campaigns, have been removed from the account. In their place are short clips soliciting advertisers, not surprisingly, as the channel has some 24,000+ subscribers.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. ESDS Announces the Launch of eNlight – The Dynamic Cloud Computing Platform

September 7, 2011 Leave a comment

ESDS is pleased to announce the launch of its eNlight Cloud Computing Platform which is an ideal solution for those who require a high performance, scalable, reliable and affordable cloud hosting solution for their business.

ESDS is pleased to announce the launch of its eNlight Cloud Computing Platform – the World’s first intelligent cloud that truly does justice to the concept of Cloud Computing. eNlight Cloud is an addition to the company’s existing portfolio of other software products and managed hosting services and was designed with small to medium sized companies in mind. In the existing Cloud Hosting market most companies offer the option to pay for fixed use. Companies try to market it as flexible hosting by claiming you can pay her hour, but the vision behind eNlight was to take this much further. eNlight allows companies to pay for real time usage and therefore justifies the concept of Cloud.

eNlight – Bringing Efficiency & Cost-effectiveness to Cloud Technology/ Computing

Both conceptualized and fully developed by the ESDS R&D Team, eNlight Cloud is the ideal solution for those who require a high performance, scalable, reliable and, perhaps most importantly, affordable Cloud Hosting solution. Users have unlimited resources at their disposal, yet they remain in full control and only pay for what they actually use. eNlight is also the ideal solution for those who need resources for a limited period and wish to avoid investment in high specification servers in order to meet the demand for resources during peak hours.

On-demand dynamic scaling automatically adjusts the RAM and CPU usage of the server without the need for downtime or even a reboot. When the cloud detects a rise in the demand for resources, it scales itself up to meet the demand. Similarly, when the demand falls, the cloud scales itself down to minimize the resource consumption. This ensures that a user is always paying for what they are using. eNlight comes complete with a pre-paid billing structure to ensure that users are never billed for more than they can practically afford. This ensures that the user is always in full control of the costs and will therefore not receive a surprise at the end of the billing period.

The company states that eNlight Cloud will allow businesses to automate a significant amount of routine business processes and will take care of major business objectives. This will allow businesses to spend more time on the implementation of their core business tasks.

Benefits of eNlight- A highly Integrated Cloud Computing Platform

1. Real-time resource usage measurements.

2. Cut down Disaster Recovery site size.

eNlight Cloud has opened new doors for DRAS (Disaster Recovery As a Service). eNlight Cloud will help organizations from all industries and sizes to cut down their DR site sizing by at least 75%, if hosted on a shared resources model. This would enable a pay per use model Disaster Recovery solution, where customers will get the desired resources from the eNlight Cloud infrastructure during a Disaster. When the main site has been restored to normal functionality, the eNlight Cloud will automatically scale down. The real time scalability feature of eNlight Cloud is a unique feature which doesn’t exist in other Cloud Computing platforms.

“With the launch of eNlight Cloud, we aim to bring a revolution to the Cloud Hosting industry” says Piyush Somani, CEO of ESDS Software Solution Pvt. Ltd (www.esds.co.in). He further adds, “Stringently tried and tested for a range of factors including reliability, scalability and security, eNlight Cloud has passed all of our quality tests and it has managed to satisfy all of our ex-dedicated server customers who suffered downtime during peak hours due to a lack of resources on their server. We are confident that it will be highly popular in a very short period of time. eNlight has satisfied many of our customers who had unusual trends of resource usage. This breakthrough technology/product will result in drastic power reduction within Datacenters. eNlight will become a necessity for those who experience short bursts of traffic or sudden demand for resources on their servers or VM’s. Application developers across the World will use eNlight VM’s to measure the resource consumption of their Applications in a live environment.”

Servers:
As we have seen in the Scenario that there are two servers i.e. one in US and second in India and following are the details

US Server:
Hostname: Master-DB
IP Address: 1.2.3.4

India Server:
Hostname: Slave-DB
IP Address: 4.3.2.1

Pre-configuration Settings:

MSSQL Version: Before configuring MSSQL Replication make sure same edition and version of MSSQL is installed on both the servers and also both have same versions of updates installed.

Server Hostname: Hostname plays a very important role in MSSQL Replication as it doesn’t support IP based Replication. So, its important that hostname of both the servers should resolve each other. This can be easily done by adding both the names in hosts file. Open and add following lines in hosts file located at “C:/WINDOWS/system32/drivers/etc/hosts” on both the servers.

1.2.3.4        Master-DB
4.3.2.1        Slave-DB

Hostname in Database: Make sure the hostname you have set for the server is set for network name and the SQL Server instance name as well other wise you will get error “SQL Server replication requires the actual server name to make a connection to the server. Specify the actual server name.”

Setup Distributor Agent

In this setup we can going to configure the Distributor and Publisher on single server and following are the steps to configure Distributor.

1) Open MSSQL Management Studio on “Master-DB” Server and login into it using the Hostname.

2) Under Localhost right click on Replication folder and select “Configure Distribution…
